Ok you know a song is good when you are not the only one that picks it out of almost 6000 songs in itunes to start the day!
My wife this morning… was starting off our day and we normally play a little
music to get our blood pumping and wake us up… so as I sit down to take a bite of some good ole eggs and bacon I hear the opening riffs of “
Let it die” by Foo Fighters greeting me… I looked up at my perfect match of a wife and grinned… “it’s just a great song huh!?” She looked at me seriously and said
“
Music is one of the most inexpensive art forms, if this song was a painting, we would never be able to afford to enjoy it” I just sat there with my jaw on the floor! It just struck me suddenly how much we take
music for granted!
being a musician myself- my goal is to write songs that resonate truth and reality in a new way for every single person that listens… so that they can say, “thats exactly how I feel!”
When you listen to
music you are peering into the heart and soul of the writer and seeing something you could possibly never afford if acquired in any other way… so don’t be so quick to dismiss it as -”not my style… not interested”
