Thanks for passing by. Your husband is pretty funny! for a home desktop the mac mini is not a bad leap... I will agree the laptops seem to be cost prohibitive.. but once you add in all the stuff you need on a regular laptop just to keep it working... you actually end up spending less. plus the fact that there are quite a few 5+ year old mac laptops that are still kicking it and healthy. The average PC laptop rarely lives beyond 3 years due to poor heat management and bad design. Robin!

There is tons of free or inexpensive software that is much higher quality than you would generally pay for. angela,
