Curious Thing

// September 1st, 2009 // My Life

Our family recently converted to eating organic, non processed foods. We cut out high fructose corn syrup, white sugar, white flour, hormone treated meats and milk.

we replaced those items with agave syrup, raw cane sugar, whole wheat flour and organic, meat and milk. all of these items are more expensive than the more processed versions. However we eat less now because the food is actually more filling. so it equals out…

The curious thing is:
I lost my milk allergy
I lost 30 lbs
I have more energy
I sleep better

and when I add any of those items back to my diet…

I have unbearable cravings to constantly eat
stomach cramps
tension and anxiety
I do not sleep well at all

The truth is you may not actually know the truth about the food you eat… don’t take my word for it…look up the ingredients in the things you use… deodorant, sunscreen, ketchup, dishwasher soap, milk, meat, flour, rice, sugar, splenda the list goes on… the thing that gets me… why does someone not tell us these things carry toxins, and hormones, and chemicals that could cause hundreds of physical ailments? The answer is simple… its not financially smart.

So what do you think about this?

WOO!HOO! Somebody did….back in the day!!!
    FINALLY I have a convert!!!!
No, Im not a die hard and I am painfully inconsistent but I know all this stuff to be true.

I can’t see and follow very well UNLESS I get off the sugar & carbs.
I know sugar is like a drug for me- so I battle with my “addiction” all the time.

It is waaay more expensive immediately but in the long run, you get what you pay for!!
Good for your family for making the change!!!!!

I know what you mean. I am vegan and have eaten that way for almost ten years (plus being vegetarian before that). I had no idea what was in my food until I endeavored to discover what a vegan actually was. When i started researching the contents of food, I was disgusted to find out what the food industry was actually shoving down our throats!! The simpler the better.

    • kathy,
yep the more I explore the worse it is! I makes you feel really gullible and taken advantage of once you find out what you have been eating… how far are we form soylent green?
