hey, a word of prophecy here and there….no problemo….. this is something of a “quiet season” for I-Monk because he’s writing a book on those who ‘quit church’. Can’t wait till it gets published (sometime next Jan or Feb).

Off topic: do you know what part of KC that Matt of “Church of No People” hangs out in ?? Just wondering.

keep me posted what you’re up to and into, may we break ourselves of ourselves and pour ourselves into HIS will and work.

Thanks for the linf for The Church OF No People…I’m reading thru “Ten People Who will Kill Your Church”. It ROCKS. I’ll give Mark Warner a heads up, my guess is he’ll laugh and cry till he wets his pants….and that ‘s the goal, of course.

call me stupid (take a number, others have and will), but I think I’m going to go out on a limb and contend the what I think Marshall’s point is . In fairness, I’ve only heard of those points 2cd hand and need to read the book for myself. Sure American is chosen, but so is every other nation on GOD’s green planet, so i don’t dispute “chosen”, I dispute some kind of special status above other nations….back to the Kingdom thing….GOD is kinds ‘greedy’ about that. I’m going to read up on this , but I’m thinking “One Nation Under God” has been a big fat swing and a miss….is by “Nation” you mean the USA. More like “All Planets Under God”…..maybe we should change the motto on the money…..

regarding “The Light and the Glory” ah… the old… America is a chosen nation, well we may or may not be… I don’t particularly argue this point because there is no use… besides… what do I know? But being chosen is not necessarily a great thing… remember pharaoh was chosen too! and he ended up on the bottom of the Red Sea with some “bail out” issues of his own! not to mention some serious “automotive industry problems” (the chariot wheels falling off) apparently he did not bail them out and he should have…
