Diary of a Dead Beat Dad – Calling and Calling

Tried calling several times this month first few times the phone was busy and didn’t go to voicemail… then I got the message that it was disconnected. I talked to your granny and aunt … it seems your mom is “paying us back” by disconnecting your phone… your aunt said you sent some really mean text messages to her… and then your mom sent a text message too her saying… “I hope you like the bed you made cause you are gonna lay in it now!” sounds like her, so I don’t doubt it..

Here is the thing… both you and your mom have told me, your granny, and your aunt , that you don’t want to talk to us… you have ignored my calls, you hung up on me without answering, and now disconnected the phone… it is increasingly hard to get in touch with you. We have now not talked in several months… I miss you and love you tons… but part of me wants to just let you hate me and get on with your life… I already know how that sounds and everyone keeps saying keep calling, keep trying, but very few of them knows how distructive your mom is when she is angry… and I pretty much keep her angry as long as I am calling…

So I keep writing here… so you can read it one day…when you are older and understand… that I am your daddy and I love you now….and I always will..
