So how far have you actually thought about this?

I am just a guy that likes to ask questions… and sometimes my questions… admittedly go a little far… kinda like this week.

I was sitting and thinking about God’s big plan … kinda what his “end game” was.. and in thinking about his nature (at least what I know of it) he is not one of those “end game” type of guys! I mean think about it.. he has been around for…… FOREVER!!! do you think he was just sitting around one millennium and said… “hey! whats say we make people!” – well that’s exactly what he did! but really think a little further… so we never get the whole story about where the angels come from… or really any of the other spiritual things we hear about, and pretend to know anything about… you know “powers” and “principalities!” I just started thinking about that just kinda to follow it out… thinking of all the other stuff the bible says.. about us and where we are going… what we will be doing.. and how it relates to what we know.

things like… ok so we die… we go to heaven… and he creates a new heaven and a new earth… and we get to rule! with him! OVER WHAT!? that is pretty crazy.. because we already have dominion over the stuff that is already here!

Ok and it is quite interesting to me that satan being an angel had the free will to still rebel against God! so does that mean that we will maintain that free will in heaven! I would think so!

and a really interesting thing that has kept me busy for a few weeks..

we were created in God’s image… he said “let us make man in our image” now man had complete free will to do as he pleased… and the serpent convinced Eve to break the only rule that existed… before that point she still had free will but was simply unaware of a single thing…evil. So I looked at this with some pretty big scrutiny… why? why did God create a tree that would give us the knowledge of good and evil.. and then a tree of life so that we could live forever!?

This was not a test… it was not a mistake, it was not a game… this is the path!

very simply there is something that has been swirling around in my head… what part of us desires to be in control? why is the desire for power so strong within us? and the only thing that I can think of is because… we were made to be more! our desire to be the god in our own life is very strong… and that desire was so strong in satan’s heart that he turned…

the choice…. to know the difference between good and evil had to be made… the desire to be more like God, is how we were made…

I thought also about an aspect of GOD.. he had no problem becoming one of us and sacrificing himself for us… in otherwords he said “being GOD is not the issue, being able to set it aside, is what makes me GOD”

so back to my musings.. God wants us to rule with him… over something.. so he definitely has something in the pipes for the future right? of course he does..

what I see is that God set in motion a plan to infinitely expand his kingdom! not because he is bored.. but because of his nature he needs more to love!… to rule by his side we have to be able to set it all down and sacrifice what we are now… for others… Step one… learning to accept a gift! and leaving it at that. step two… act like Jesus, sacrifice yourself for others…

There are tons of theologians that can probably lay all of this out for you… but I don’t want to do that… I want you to wonder.. to seek. to think of what God has planned for you… who knows… we may be on the ground floor of the kingdom of GOD… or we may be stepping into a thriving spiritual kingdom with millions or thousands of worlds like our own, being created, and learning, and expanding and joining the kingdom…what would you sacrifice to be a part of that?

So… how far have you actually thought about this?
