a Predisposition of Disbelief

By on 1-11-2009 in My Thoughts

You don’t want to be a sucker right? so after a lifetime of dealing with “too good to be true” let downs, you form a general opinion…”Show Me!” “Prove it” basically you will believe it when you see it eh?

We all end up developing a predisposition of disbelief. But how does that affect our faith?

Corinthians states that ‘charity believes all things’ but how can we?

I personally think that there is no such thing as healthy skepticism. I think skepticism damages our faith in possibility.

My favorite pastor ever! – Kelly Vigo always says

” skepticism cynicism and criticism are the opposite of faith hope and love “

I am not saying to throw caution to the wind.. but caution is quite different from skepticism!

believe first! and your faith will grow. believing after proof is not faith at all!
