The Red Pill (1)
opening the first few scenes of the Matrix we are introduced to Trinity, a cool , very serious chick that knows exactly what she’s doing
there are some very specific points I want to bring up about the dialog
Agent Smith: Lieutenant, you were given specific orders.
Lieutenant: Hey, I’m just doing my job. You give me juris- my diction crap, you can cram it …. (you get the point)
Agent Smith: Your orders were for your protection.
Lieutenant: I think we can handle one little girl…. I sent two units. They’re bringing her down now.
Agent Smith: No Lieutenant, your men are already dead.
Agent Smith: Your orders were for your protection.

first of all lets make some connections
the lieutenant says, ”hey I’m just doing my job” in general when i think about the matrix almost everyone in the matrix is just a warm body… in other words they do what they do because it is their “place” to do it.. pretty much how it is in real life… i am an IT guy therefore I do IT work everyday! Cops are Cops, bad guys are bad guys.. etc.
in general everybody “just does their job” regardless of what goes on elsewhere in the world.
the point I want to make here is that Trinity carries some skills… on a spiritual level I would equate her to a seriously devoted spiritual warrior.. she has discernment and the ability to take care of herself so to speak..
thus the comment by Agent Smith “No Lieutenant, your men are already dead.”
the ensuing fight is some serious KUNG FOO! but for the first time we see reality “bent” to allow a way of escape for trinity. she addresses each attacker in turn and escapes the situation…
Trinity: Morpheus, the line was traced, I don’t know how.
Morpheus: I know, they cut the hard line. There’s no time, you’re going to have to get to another exit.
Trinity: Are there any agents?
Morpheus: Yes.
Trinity: (expletive deleted)
Morpheus: You have to focus, Trinity. There’s a phone at Wells and Lake. You can make it.
Trinity: All right.
Morpheus: Go.
Morpheus: I know, they cut the hard line. There’s no time, you’re going to have to get to another exit.
Trinity: Are there any agents?
Morpheus: Yes.
Trinity: (expletive deleted)
Morpheus: You have to focus, Trinity. There’s a phone at Wells and Lake. You can make it.
Trinity: All right.
Morpheus: Go.
sooo she calls up help… “Morpheus” a yet unseen character that provides support for her and gives her the information she needs to continue with her escape… very much like we get in touch with a peer when we face spiritual difficulty.. they give us the needed perspective to move ahead with confidence.
and thus ensues the remarkable chase where we see reality bent again as Trinity leaps buildings and the agents aggressively pursue her…
ok lets stop for a second..
to me this is a little awkward and I most definitely do not want to analyze the movie line by line.. its just not the point…
so I hope you are getting the picture… I promise to cover more ground next post.
