Not long ago my wife, Kat, and I went to Atlanta for a fun weekend. We rented a car and when we went to pick it up it was a neat little sports car. Just what a 58 year old guy needs to spark his mid-life crisis. Okay so I am a little old for a mid-life crisis since I am probably 10-20 years from my final breath. What does that have to do with my comment? Nothing but I thought I would share it anyway.

While in Atlanta I took a few, well, many wrong turns. My wife would always ask, "Are we lost?" my reply was no, not necessarily. The truth was sometimes I was lost but I refused to admit it.

That is how those wondering around this life without knowing the true Jesus are. They are lost but everything in their world does not point that out.

I believe my job as a Christian is to be like a compass and always point people I run into towards Jesus. Sometimes that is a dramatic action but often it is a gentle nudge or just a living example.

Rarely do people respond to a message about how much of a loser they are and how they are gonna burn baby burn. But most will respond to someone's story which relates where they were, where they are and where they believe they are going.
