Gods Will

Gods will…

everyone tries to find it
some people try to obey it
others want to know it
some even want to be in the “center” of it
some say that it is DANGEROUS to follow it.. but it is a good place to be
others claim to know it
some claim to speak it
books have been written about Gods will. millions have been made by authors who give methods and ways of knowing that you are fullfilling Gods will
To me this all seems a little fabricated. Heres why
I  have seen people make a decision because they “felt” “beleived” “heard” “was told” that it was “Gods will” that they do it.  Sometime later this person experienced a failure or tragedy of some sort and began to question themselves … “well maybe it was not God’s will” “maybe I heard wrong”   Thus the book reading and searching for ways to figure out how to hear GOD more clearly… the ironic thing is that these folks continue to make mistakes and really never figure out whats going on and why they keep getting it wrong.
Someone along the way led us to believe that   “God has a specific plan in mind for you and your job is to figure that out”
I disagree!
lets look at a simple example
My daughter Kaydence is a rambunctious kiddo.
she knows that I love her.. and she loves to make me happy… cause I’m her daddy.
occasionally when I ask her to do something- posibly even suggesting how she acomplish it- she takes a roundabout path to accomplish the task. the reason is that she can only do things based on her level of understanding.  It may be harder for her to do it that way but that doesn’t matter. she still does what I ask right?
so what if she fails while going about it “her way” that is not inherently bad either.. it allows her to learn to trust my judgement…
so how does this all compare???
well … we assume that God gave us free will. because we pretty much can figure that out. so why would he give you the ability to make any desision and enjoy any number of outcomes but secretly hide the “right choice” … maybe its all a game right?? a shell game??? I don’t think so…
the truth is very plain.. people stumble over it everyday and God said that they would.. he said that his ways would confound the wise…
The GOD I believe in is so wise that his will actually encompasses every decision I make. stupid or otherwise… even when I make the absolute wrong choice his will “covers it”  what did paul say?  ”all things work together for the good of those that love and  serve him”  does that seem to make more sense now?  His will is that we recognize his love and reciprocate!  past that he can handle our mistakes…
SO STOP LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT CENTER OF THE WILL OF GOD OKAY???
Live your life… pray and make your choices… and know that when you take the next step… It is Gods will that you “Live while loving him!”   learn from your mistakes, love your choices because they make you stronger…  and when your choice backfires… remember… it works for good!…. and THAT… is HIS will.
