Failure…
this ties in with my previous post on Gods will, people seeking Gods will experience failure and look back wondering “maybe I heard God wrong”
The problem is that they are focusing on the wrong thing. Failure is a bad word for it… but its what we use… so.. so be it
when we ask a baby to learn to walk we expect for that baby to fail over and over… but we insist on picking them up and pushing them to move forward… we coax and cajole and rejoice with each small “almost success” Don’t you think that God looks at us that way?
I am coining a new word… for this blog entry… spiriphorically, it means looking at a spiritual concept metaphorically.. not quite a parable but kinda!.
so lets look at this “baby walking” concept spiriphorically.
God: (coaxing me to take a step)
“come on… I know you can do it!!
God: (looking at jesus)
“just let go a little… “
Jesus: (holding me up under my arms)
“well he is just standing up! thats pretty good”
God: (Grinning at Jesus)
“well then let go a little…just a little and see what he does”
Jesus: (Staying close to catch me)
“see all on his own”
God:
“come on buddy .. come to daddy”
Jesus:
” hey! he took a step.. cool!”
God: (getting excited)
“Yeah! keep it up…. (pause)… and he’s down!”
Jesus: (picking me up)
“man he is getting alot better! he took that step with alot more confidence this time!”
Jesus:
“you think we should try again?”
God:
“Nah, we have been at it for a while… lets see what he does on his own, let him gain some confidence”
Jesus: (jumping up)
“Hey look he is up on his own!… one… two.. three steps!”
Both together: (dramatically)
“and hes down!”
Both together: (excited chatter)
” man did you see that.. three steps… THREE STEPS all on his own!” ”this is awesome” (grinning) “this is so much fun!” ” I love it when they start taking chances!”

That is how God sees what we call “failure”
Can you “FAIL” if you’re seeking Him , in the first place?
